Hello everyone!!
Hopefully I'll get better at this blogging thing. I just figured that this would be an easy way to update everyone all at once :-D
Kevin and I made it to Michigan all in once piece! Yayyy!! It was THE most boring drive I have ever done in my life. Driving by yourself is just not fun. The weather was perfect though. Completely clear roads throughout the entire trip. When we hit Iowa there was some pretty bad fog, but that was the worst of it.
We've been here for just about a month now and we've been in the process of buying a house the entire time. Don't have it yet though. We won the bid, have an inspection done, and it seemed like everything was all lined up. Well, no. At first, the loan underwriter wrote the loan for the wrong amount. Now someone else is working on it and she needed more paperwork that we gave the first guy- that he didn't pass on to her. Now, she comes back and told us that we can't get pmi insurance?! This is ridiculous! We were pre-approved for twice as much as we're paying for this house!! I'm just so sick of it all. All I can say, is everything in this country will be better when the government gets out of the housing market!
Keep your fingers crossed for us, but it looks like this house may not be the one for us. :( I almost don't care anymore, I just want my own space and a place to call home. Someday, right? Sorry for the venting. We know that everything will work out for the best. I really miss all my friends and family over there in Idaho right now. Feel free to email and facebook me! I don't really have anything to do for the time being.
