Cameron has a shoe fetish. It all started with Kevin...... Kevin was playing with him one day and put his socks on his hands instead of his feet. He thought it was fun- now he thinks that's where they go. He will bring us socks, hand them to us, then put his hand out so we can put them on him. It's so cute. Around the same time he discovered the shoe shelf in the front entry. He used to just pull them all off and carry them around or toss them down the stairs. Now he puts them on his hands. :) It's so silly, but it's so cute. He put those ones on right after Kevin got home from work today. Cameron went down to meet him at the door, but got distracted by the time daddy got there. Soon after, this happened:

Caught Ya!
Cam found a new drawer that right at his level and doesn't have a lock! Oh no! He thought he was being sneaky, then he brought me everything from it. Little stinker! He's lucky he's so cute! :)
Flourishing Garden
Our garden is in harvesting season! I'm starting to feel spoiled, I can just go outside to make dinner! Today's pickings, lettuce, basil, cilantro, and green beans! Yummm!
Our Newest Addition....
Our new Tacoma has arrived!! We LOVE it!!!!!!!!!! And it came just in time as the a/c went out in our Taurus last week (and the Civic a/c hasn't worked for a while). Last week we had 90 degree weather with the humidity pushing it into the 100s. NOT a good time for a/c to stop working! Poor Cam was sweating buckets in the back seat as we drove in to get a quote to fix it :( It made us count our blessings and stop and recognize the glories of modern technology. I would not have wanted to be a pioneer crossing the plains last week, yuck! Our new truck is so wonderful... we kind of fight over who gets to drive it. haha. She's a beauty! and blows ice cold a/c! Wooohooo!!
Little bit of Landscaping
We've been busy outside the past few weekends! We ripped out the giant bushes in the front yard! When we first moved in these bushes loomed over the front steps and drove me crazy. Then spring came around and they were filled with birds! Either way, it just felt too claustrophobic to me and I didn't want them there. I also happened to find some good bushes on sale, so we went for it!
BEFORE
After a lot of pruning and digging and crystal light...
AFTER
It looks a little naked, because it is. It's not finished yet, we're taking it one step a time. Taking out the bushes was the first and biggest step. I think it's a great improvement and makes the house feel more open- you can actually see the porch! Yayy for having that one checked off!
Elephant Suit, hehe!
I was cleaning out Cameron's closet the other day and found this costume I bought for him last year. I couldn't help but try it on him. He wasn't too fond of the hat, but he loved stomping around in the suit. I just think he is adorable! Love that boy!
Styrofoam Playtime
We got a new garbage can! It came in big box with Styrofoam around it.... Cam was quite smitten with it. He played with it all day, and the following. After a while he got bored with laying in it, so he turned it over and stepped in to it, getting his legs stuck in the holes. At first he thought he was pretty awesome, then he realized he couldn't move.... He got himself out though! Then it just became a game and he kept getting in and out. I just have to say, I have the best son ever! He is so easy to please! :)
Milk Jug!!
For some reason, Cameron's favorite toy of the week has been the milk jug. Every time I turn around he has it in his hand. It fills him with glee to run around with it in his hand. It is so silly and so fun to watch how excited it makes him. No toys necessary with this little guy! haha.
Cam's 1st Haircut
Time to start playing catch-up! I gave Cameron his first haircut a few weeks ago. Cameron's hair was getting long so the scissors came out! It made him look so grown up, what happened to my baby!?
BEFORE
DURING
Putting him in the sink was probably the best idea I ever had when it comes to cutting his hair. He was most entertained by stopping and unstopping the sink, but it worked!
AFTER
He's not as bald as he looks in the first picture, that's why I took the second one :)
He looks so grown up! I think it makes him look more like Kevin :)
